Also going to try and keep going with the walking every day, although that may prove a little more difficult with the boys football and soccer training starting as of next week..

A day for me!

Day 30

All the boys were back at school today, was the first day I have had just for me since the 14th December!!!
What did I do...I SHOPPED lol
Checked out some thrift shops (the boys hate scrounging around with me) was so nice just to wander around at my leisure, no mum im hungry, mum im bored, mum i need to go to the toilet lol
I visited a friend and checked out the sale at Scrapbook Princess ... I know I know, spose to be using not spending, but i have been using scraps and they had a 20-50% of sale!! You cant not at least have a look right ?
Another hot one today, very muggy and felt like it was going to rain all day but didnt..
Been checking out some of the new lines comming out at CHA and WOW some stunning stuff, cant wait for it to hit Aussie!
Especially loving the whole Elsie range and the new Queen & Co felt ribbon.

Week 4 of Emily's card challenge, A symbol you love.

Back to school

Day 29

Dan and Jay went back to school today, all excited and up early and ready to go way before they had to. Both were happy with the teachers and classes they got.
Josh doesn't go back till tomorrow, so he helped me get the others to school and then we spent the day at home without a car doing not much at all trying to stay as cool as possible in the 38C heat...

To my little sister Vicki.
Went out for dinner for her birthday, with Jim, Bob, Jude, Russell and the kids. The birthday cake made by her step daughter Nica was yummy, well done squeak!!

Walking... as we went out for dinner tonight there was no walk....BUT... I did walk up to school and back this morning which is almost the distance we normally walk. I also did 10 minutes on the treadmill.

Going to go lie under a fan now...

* YAY!! Finally got a banner made and up on here. Got to thank John and Shannon for their help in making it happen.

The Day After...

Another scorcher here today, done nothing but sit under fans and try and keep cool. Water restrictions are holding us back from filling the pool and sitting in that.
Hopefully tomorrow will be a little cooler

Australia Day

HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY to all my Aussie Mates

What a beautiful day, the weather was awesome! We had a BBQ at the park with my sister and BIL, good food, and of course a game of cricket.
Got some great photos, but havent got them uploaded yet, will share some tomorrow.
Didnt get to do our walk tonight, but the park we were at had a cross trainer, so i spent 20 minutes on that.
John hurt his back towards the end of the night, pretty bad, he is laid up in bed doped to the eyeballs at the moment, hopefully he will be much better tomorrow.

Summer's here...

Day 23

OK so we had a ordinary coolish december and first half of January...i think summer has jsut realised that is should be here. It has been so hot the last few days, no air con, no pool and water restrictions...makes for an uncomfortable day...
Last night i mentioned that i was meeting Kathy today, well i did and shes lovely.
The rest of the day was spent trying to stay as cool as possible. The boys however rode bikes, rollerbladed and ran around. Where they get their stamina and energy from is beyond me.
We walked again tonight, day 23..almost there!

Day 22

Week 3 of Deck of Me challenge. This week We had to use 'I Am' and make a statement about ourselves. I have combined this with Ali's challenge and chosen 'making better use of my time' - my word for 2007.


Spent today out buying the rest of the school supplies, paying high school fees and gettin new uniforms...kids grow way too quickly..
Then sorting out into piles of what belonged to who - i refuse to cover them this year - and then stacking in their bags.
Didnt walk tonight, but I did play netball in 30C+ heat inside a tin shed!!! Think that makes up for it.
A little excited too, tomorrow I get to meet Kathy !! Going to drop her rak of and have coffee.

A new chapter

Day 21

Thanks to Kathryn and Kathy for their suggestions on my new blog name, as well as the girls from KSK who gave me food for thought.
As you can see I didnt actually choose a name from anyones suggestions, I did however get the idea for this one from ideas Kathy suggested. So Kathy email me your address (not sure I have it) and I will send you out a little something :)

With the name change I have also changed my URL so you may need to check your links and adjust them.

The boys asked today if we could go for a rollerblade, and as rusty and rickety as I am on blades, we combined a skate with our daily walk. Was alot harder than I imagined it would but I only hit the dust once lol

One more week to go then the boys are back at school, I still have yet to pick up books and get the last lot of stationary items needed...nothing like leaving it to the last minute...

Day 19

This is my gorgeous niece who I adore. The layout is for Scrap the scraps challenge to make your own printed paper.


This is for a CJ that Im in, one of the girls had her cj disappear so we all decided to make her a monogram each so she had something to get back!


It has been a quiet night here to end a hectic noisy day, Josh went to dinner and a movie with friends, Dan is 'camping' (in the back yard of neighbours house) with his mate, and Jay still has an early bed time. Did i get lots of scrapping done ? Not a thing.. after I watched superman with Jay, i watched the end of the cricket, then watched the Roddick/Safan tennis game - lots of controversy there.
Still walking, 5 days out of 7, but am playing netball one night and soccer another night, 18 days in...im impressed that even though some days i think 'oh god i so dont want to walk' I still have.
Looking forward to a realxing family weekend before the last week of holidays start and I have to finalise uniforms, books and fees!

Boys create too

Both my younger two boys scrapbook and each have their own supplies. They wanted me to scan and show their layouts so beign the good mum, ive done just that :)

Tuesday!

Day 16

The boys used the last of their movie vouchers today and saw Happy Feet. They didnt stop talking about it all day, my guess is they liked it!
I learnt a valueable lesson today, that a bargain isnt always a bargain because its cheap...
I brought some coloured Kaiser rubons for $2.99!! Wow you say.... They were cheap for a reason! They rubbed of great..too great all over anything they came in contact with even the backing sheet :( got to use 3 words from the sheet and the rest was useless... Lesson Learnt!

Walked again tonight, even managed 3 100m sprints!! So proud of myself for sticking with this challenge.
Wanted to make mention of the other girls that are walking nightly as well, they are all doing so well. Well done girls :)
Just to finish, some of you may be aware that Daniel has been scrapping for awhile now (sporadically), well my baby boy, jay is now scrapping as well. Tomorrow morning has been allocated to assisting him with some layouts. Will try get them scanned for tomorrow nights thread.

Day 13

Why is that we spend more of our time organising our craft area than we do creating???
I spent a large part of today sorting and changing things around. I realised that while I had things neatly put away, I wasn't using them. So now everything is still neat but more reachable and hopefully useable...
I share an area with my DH so I have to be fairly compact and neat so as not to overpower him. I take up 2/3 of the area at the moment, as im growing in ability and skill my stash is too as im trying different things which means more product, more space to keep it all.
As much as I would love to have a room just for me, I love the fact that of a night once the boys are in bed we sit together, while i scrap or use the computer he does his thing. We chat and he often helps me out with colour choices etc..

Day 13 of my walking challenge and im still going, Yay me!!
