Christmas photo shoot

Im sure that most of you out there will share my frustrations at trying to get photos of the kids once they turned about 10.  We all have those shots where one child is pulling a face, not looking at the camera or crabby right ?

When I started scrap booking the boys did get a little better, knowing that I really wanted they would begrudgingly stand (usually lifeless haha) while I snapped away. A bit like pulling teeth! You understand my pain right ?

Fast forward quite a few years and the boys are now 20, 18, and 15 and it appears they all actually like photos now!! The thought did occur to me that they had been taken over by aliens lol but I think most of the credit has to go to the girls!

My girls ( the girlfriends) seem to have transformed the boys from 'avoid the camera at all costs' animals  into a bunch of boys that moved heaven and earth (well it felt like it) to get all 6 of them together for a christmas photo shoot!

What's more they all happily posed and had fun!!! See for your self, the photos say it all!

Thank you all for so much effort to make mum happy and giver her some updated photos! Love you all.

Wishing all my readers a very merry christmas, I hope your day is magical, and a safe and festive new year!,

Lis :)

Family photo shoot

Back at the begining of the year I was so very lucky to win a photo shoot! I entered a photo competition on FB to help a friend raise funds for Relay for life cancer research. My prize included the shoot itself with 2 8x10 photos and a number of images on a CD.  Gina Davis Photography so very kindly donated the photo package and she was awesome to work with.
After my initial excitement of winning sunsided I started to stress a little, I had to pick a date that we were all available. With 2 teenage sons and an adult son and his GF as well as football season about to start I had to get in quick. We all managed a Sunday in February where we could all be together for a few hours, my next dilemna was what would we all wear that would not clash in the photos. It was decided that we start with myself and Ash and then work the boys around us I think we nailed it!

Gina herself was a little nervous as she had never done a shoot with teenage boys before, only toddlers and babies. Let me tell you she was fantastic, you would never of known it was her first time!!
She was great letting the boys have some free rein with goofing around and photo bombing lol the compromise was that they had to give us some sensible ones too!

Gina was also very quick and editing and getting the images back to us (all ready for my trip to Tassie) and we were thrilled with ALL the photos. We havent had a family photo done for quite a number of years so it was long overdue.
These collages are just a few of my favourites from the day, I think you will agree with me that they turned out Fantastic!!

Thank you so much to Gina for a very fun photo shoot and some amazing photos that we love!!
Would also like to thank Korie for running the competition that I won, and to Brett & Sheena and Ashleigh for allowing me to use the photo I took of their gorgeous kiddies!!

Thanks for stopping by

Family Photo shoot

At the end of last year I entered a photo competition a friend was running to raise funds for Relay for Life Cancer research. Much to my surprise my photo (of friends litttle ones hugging) won!!
My prize was a photo shoot with Gina Davis Photography. Two 8x10 photos and a disc of 30 photos. With football season fast approaching I knew I had to organise the shoot quickly or it would be near impossible to get everyone together.
So, Sunday was the day, getting hubby and myself, 3 teenage boys and a girlfriend all organised, not clashing clean clothes, at the venue and on time went pretty well lol
Gina suggested Daisy Hill Koala Park for the shoot, and apart from a few walkers and bicycling enthusiasts stopping our shoot occiaisionally it went pretty well.
I thought it all went pretty well, the boys were as good as I expected them to be having to get a thousand photos taken lol Gina herself had this to say......
"After having a quick flick through the camera, I had to upload this one for a sneak peak... it was really hard to keep a straight face today with this session!!"

This is the sneek peek she chose for us to look at....

I absolutely love it!!
Until I saw this I had no idea what the boys were doing in the background lol. I am super excited now to see the rest of the photos.
Thank you Gina for being so great with the boys!!

Thanks for stopping by
