Sports Awards

November this year has been one event filled month, with my #2 son Daniel graduating its been one school event after another.
The Shailer Park High Sports awards are traditionaly done at a breakfast, this year the breakfast was held at the school with their very own resatuarant Sapphires catering. The food was fabulous!!
This year (as in the past) picked up quite a few awards, so proud of his athletic abilities.

His first award was for the Volleyball Gold Coast finals.

Age champion cross country, he won his age group in the school cross country as well as making it across the line first out of all senior boys, he also made it to both district and regionals for this event!

Making it to the Regional athletics for 1500m. This was the first time that he placed at districts and made it to the regionals!

Age champion Atheltics, placing either 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the majority of his events on the day!

The big one and the last award of the morning, the one he so badly wanted ( his bog brother won the same award 2 years prior) was the School Sports Allrounder. This award is give to the year 12 student who excels in a variety of sports over the entire year.
Dan was thrilled (despite the look in the photo lol) to get this one and we were so proud of him!

A grup shot of all his awards, would of got one with him holding them but there were too many for him to hold all at once hahaha

So proud of all the effort he put into his sports this year, he really makes us super proud parents!!

Thanks for stopping by

Josh

Josh was lucky enough to be asked to spend a whole day Deep sea fishing with the Loganholme PCYC. Only an handful of boys from his school were asked. He didnt even mind getting up at 4am, his dad had a bit of fun at work with the boys saying he had just dropped Josh of at the Police station lol.
Josh arrived home around 8pm that night, tired, damp, smelly but really pleased with himself. He had caught the most fish and got to bring some of them home with him.

(ps last night he cooked the fish up all by himself and it was very yummmy)

The under 18 football presentation this year was a Black Tie event. We had to go out and get Josh a suit for it (but he can use it for his formal), he was a little uncomfortable to start, and as you might be able to tell from this photo below, he so didnt want his photo taken and he wouldnt stand still, this one is the best of a bad bunch.
He did look so smart though.

The night was fantastic, alot of awards given out to very deserving players, an awesome video of the season made up by the coach, and the "hot seat" was so funny.
Josh was lucky enough to be awarded the "most improved" trophy, he was pretty impressed, even made a thank you speech.

All year a group of us mums had been selling margin tickets to raise enough funds to get the team something special. With the Help of Shane Jones (thanks for allowing us to buy your jersey) we were able to present them with this (very large) framed jersey and photos, I think they were suitably impressed, there were a few oooooohs in the crowd when we unveiled it.

Awards!

I have been given this fantastic award by two gorgeous girls, Melanie and Lauren.
I am so honoured to think that others love my work as much as I do, thank you girls.

How it works....
The rules for receiving the award are simple:
1. The winner may put the logo on their blog.
2. Put a link to the person who sent you the award.
3. Nominate 5 blogs.
4. Put links to their blogs.
5. Leave a message for your nominees.

So I think it would be unfair to just name 5 because there are so many creative girls out there
who inspire me.
If you read this and havent already been nominated for the award then consider yourself nominated now :)

Cheers Lis :)
