I remember back to when this little guy was born and so many things about him were just like his daddy. Over the last 18mths as he has grown into a independent, cheeky little guy this has been reaffirmed.
He has grown to be bigger than what his daddy was at the same age, but his mannerisms and cheeky independent nature are so very similar to Josh's at that age.
He doesn't walk much, he runs everywhere, he loves to climb investigate everything. Trucks are his favourite toy playing with them, riding or pushing them around. He is saying so much more now and loves to copy.
He also knows where all the good food at Granmas house is and that Grandpa will usually give it to him!
Life with Chayse is full on and exhausting but we wouldn't have it any other way, we love him to bits.

Baby scrapbook album
It only took a year but finally I have made a start on my little grandsons scrapbook album. I'm not even sure why I kept putting it of, its not like boy layouts are strange to me.
Chayse is such a joy to photograph, he has the cutest smile and is always happy it was hard to work out what photos to add to the album.
I had already decided that I would do mainly pocket pages for his album, but needed to do a front page just to introduce him. I used a blue and teal colour theme and lots of little embellishments I've added to my collection over the last year.
The photos are all from his first day in hospital taken by the professional photographer. If I had realised how much fun it was going to be scrapping these I would of started much earlier.
Its amazing to think that our little monkey was this little just a year ago, the time really has flown.

Lets celebrate - Chayse turns One
Twelve months ago we celebrated the arrival of our first grandchild. A beautiful little baby boy who turned our world upside down - in a good way.
As a tiny baby he was such a happy little guy, always smiling and a joy to be around. Watching him grow over the last year has been a pleasure and a privilege. There have been many times where he has looked or done things just like his daddy and at other times taking after his mummy. He really is a celebration of both of them.
This last week we celebrated again as our little guy turned one!! The old cliche, where has the time gone. From a tiny little baby you gave lots of cuddles, to this amazing little boy who not just walks but runs everywhere, is learning to talk and communicates in his own special way.
He is a bundle of energy and still a smiley happy little man and we love him to bits.
Here are just a few of the hundreds of photos taken of his 1st birthday celebrations.
Happy birthday Chayse!

big boy hats
The kids are heading to Tasmania soon to stay with my mum and dad, it will be Ashleigh and Chayse first visit. The weather down there is going to be a lot cooler than our bubba boy is used to so Ash asked me to make him a beanie.
The crafter in me decided he needed two, that would suit whatever colour clothes he was wearing. The first one a grown up grey rib, I made my own pattern up using front post dc stitches and a carnival soft yarn.
The second one I used the same carnival yarn and made my own pattern with a combination of do and fpdc.
Hopefully they will keep my little boys head toasty warm while he is away.

Chayse @ 10 months
Its hard to believe than in a couple of months this little ball of mischief will be 1, the time has just flown. He is growing so quick and has the cutest personality.
He loves to swim and climb and of course loves his food - just like his daddy - he can now say Mum, Dad and bub and is so close to walking.

Looking forward to spending next weekend on the Sunshine coast and soaking up as much of this little man as we can.

First Christmas Ornament
This year was the first Christmas with our little grand bubba boy and I wanted to get him a 1st Christmas decoration for the tree. I searched everywhere for something nice for a boy that wasn't cheap or tacky looking. I really didn't want a baby boy decoration, being that he was going to be 8 months old.
I couldn't find anything that I liked so I decided to make my own. I had already made a few cross stitch ornaments when the idea came to me to do one up for Chayse. It took a bit of time to work out what I wanted to put on their and to work out a graph for it.
I love how it turned out and think I may have started a bit of a tradition.

Chayse at 8 months
This year has been very up and down for us, but by far the most exciting thing to happen was the birth of our first grandson. Chayse has been a delight, so full of character and just the most lovable little boy.
The last 8 months has just flown by as we watched him grow so quickly. He has learnt to roll over, to sit up on his own, he is starting to crawl and pulling himself up on things and he is now saying Dad.
Time for Josh and Ash to start baby proofing the house!
Really looking forward to spending Christmas with this little munchkin, its sure to be exciting!

Chayse at 6 months
Time has just flow by and this gorgeous little bubba is already 6 months old!! We may be just a tiny bit bias, but were his grandparents we are allowed to be haha.
He is growing so quick and is beginning to get quite the personality, so funny and loves being tickled. He is rolling over now and sitting up and loves to play.
Wont be long before he is up on those knees crawling along keeping mum and dad on their toes!
We are missing this little man so so much now that they have moved to the Sunshine Coast but thankful for social media and a mummy who loves to take photos.

Chayse at 4 months
Its hard to believe that it has been four months since this gorgeous little bubba boy came into our lives. The time has flown by and he is growing so fast.
Everyone told me before Chayse was born that I would love being a Grandma and they got it spot on, its been amazing. Takes me back to when my boys were tiny little bubbas, seeing Chayse do things his daddy did and looking alot like his daddy too, although there is a fair bit of his mumma in there too.
I could go on forever telling you about our smiley little boy but I don't want to bore you , so instead just check out the photos (there a quite a few) of our adorable grandson.
We are so grateful that we are able to be a part of his growing up and love him to pieces.
