Day 29

Well end of the first week of school holidays and that good stuff was just too good to be true lol the boys woke up arguing and it lasted all day...
Did a bit of scrapping today, an art journal page that I cant share just yet and a layout using the Love Else 'Toby' range that I haven't been able to scan, will get that done tomorrow.
I did get this layout I finished last night scanned.

My boy came home today! The bus was an hour late getting back, but they finally arrived. It was fantastic to see him again after a week, I did have to wait for my hug till we got home though lol. Jayden was so excited to see his big brother, Dan was well 'hi' lol.
The excitement wore of real quick when we breathed in lol, man was he smelly!!
Mind you a trip to the fridge for some food came before he had a shower..

The Little things

Day 28

Almost at the end of the first week of school holidays and im amazed at how great the boys have been! the second week may be their undoing though lol will have to wait and see.
Today was my shopping day, I thought with boys in tow that it would take me alot longer to get everything done, but it didnt, they were such great helpers, even putting all the shopping away for me!
I tried to scrap this afternoon, but it just wouldnt happen. Its weird how the beginning of the week i manage to get so much done, but as the weekend nears my mojo slows right down...

These two pages are wht I did yesterday, but coudlnt scan till today because of wet paint. they are inside cover and intro for my everyday life album. There are a few of these going around at the moment. Mine I dont intend to make daily entries as the others are, more just as teh mood or thought strikes me. Daily, weekly, monthly, or just whenever.




My big boy comes home from camp tomorrow and while i have missed him heaps cant wait to see him, im not looking forward to a weeks worth of muddy (its been raining heaps) smelly clothes to wash lol

Another good day with the boys, that may all change next week once Josh comes home...
I took the boys with me to the thrift shop today, they love it as much as I do. Gave them each some money and they had a great time picking out what they wanted.
I got all this stuff below, some pretty pink doileys that I will probably use on my layouts for my niece and all this material.
I have already used some of it to make some more pincushions.

Day 26

Day 2 of the holidays and everything is still going great! Boys are unbelievably well behaved..im shocked lol

Today I received a package full of these awesome products from someone unnown. The postmark said Nambour. If you sent theses to me please leave me a comment or email me.
Thank you heaps whoever you are it brightened my day and made me feel good!!


The deck of me promt this week came from Tara, as Emily is moving and without internet. Tara asked us to do our cards on a photo that has special meaning. This photo of Jayden and my MIL just melts my heart. The two of them had a closeness that was precious!

This is the cover of the A5 book Ive decided to start. On all the little things that fill our lives that we might not necessarily think important enough to add to our scrapbooks. I may make daily entries, they could be weekly or monthly, just as the mood or occaision strikes me.


This is the third of my friend layouts from my teen years. Sandra was and still is my best friend. There may be thousands of miles seperating us but our bond and connection is still as strong as it was when we were 14.

Day 25

Firstly i wanted to thank all of you that left comments and messages for me today about how I was feeling. It ws so nice to read them all and know that you cared. That not everyone is insensitive and blase about things that are important to some.
I am feeling much better today!!

How could I not be when I wake up to a pizza box filled with all this yumminess!!! My RAK from Janine arrived. WOW I love it all and cant wait to start playing with it. Thank you so much!!


I have been playing with all crafty things not scrapbooking lately, experimenting and seeing what else there is out there.
This is my first ever pinchusion I have ever made!! Now while it is a little small, it turned out the way it was supposed to. I plan on making another one larger soon.


I have always wanted to learn how to crochet, and regret not gettin my MIL to teach me how before she died. But I am not one to say 'I cant' so I decided to teach myself.
Now I have alwasy been able to do chains, not alot you can do with them though lol. This is my first 'something'!
I started crocheting away and ened up with some lenghts that I decided to turn into this bag. I know its pretty basic but ya know its the first thing ive ever made, and im proud of me lol.


So while i was on a roll i did this as well. Love the colours of this wool, thinking i might turn this one into a mini album cover.


If you read my blog regulary, you will notice that of late I have won a few prizes or RAK on blogs and forums. I have been so lucky and have a few more on their way to me as i type!
So I have decided to dish out my own RAk.

Using those scraps

Day 24

Had to get up so early this morning so that I could drop Josh of at the bus to go to camp. Going to be weird not having him around all week.
The day dragged after that, I didnt realy feel like scrapping or creating anything. I did get one layout finished though. Cleaned out all my closets and moved summer clothes to the back and brought winter clothes forward.
Sat and did some crocheting(teaching myself how) and helped Jayden with his knitting.

This is the layout I got finished, it is for the latest round of challenges at Scrap the Scraps. Ngaire asked us to use a bird/s on a layout. Took me awhile to decide how to go about it, but quite like the end result.


The boys are on school holidays now for the next two weeks, so keeping them entertained will be my goal. They are pretty good at finiding things to do and have a few mates in our street, so it should all go smoothly.
Had some news this afternoon that left me feeling a little sad and worthless, but my amazing hubby helped make me see things a different way, and whilst I still feel sad about it im ok with it!
Good thing about school holidays (yes there is one lol) no early mornings! I can sleep in!!
Hopefull get some time to scrap tomorrow as well. No football training tomorrow night and hubby is working late so will be a relaxed easy dinner time for us.

A new look....

Day 23

I got to sleep in today!! The boys were both sick so they didnt play football. I didnt wake up till 9.30!! Felt so good to.
I defrosted my fridge and cleaned it all out, I have been putting it of for ages, but it just had to be done. Helped Josh get his bags all packed, he heads of to youth group camp tomorrow morning at 7.30am *ugh* no sleep in tomorrow lol.

I love this layout of Jay, this one is a just because I love this photo of him and it all came together really well.


Found a pattern online awhile ago and after helping Jay get set up to practice knitting decided to have a go at it. Its so cute, think I will try a few more in different colours.


Have another layout sitting on my desk that I was hoping to get finished tonight, but instead of scrapping I decided to update my blog to the new look template. All good, except I forgot to save my old one, so then I had to sit here and manually add back in all my links. I lost a couple of things but have decided for now not to bother putting them back.
Glad I changed I like the new look (ok its not that diffferent) and thenew blogger is much easier to update and add things.
Might just work on a new banner soon.

School holidays...

Day 22

Firstly I want to say thank you to all of you have sent your concern and thoughts over Jayden, He is alot better today and should be fine in a few days :)

Have been wanting to scrap some of the layouts from my earlier years and am slowly getting to them, This one is a layout about my dear friend Sandra. Could of written so much more but wanted a layout not an album lol.Not sure about the handwriting on this one....its growing on me.


This is for a challenge at KSK to use alphabets you have had for ages. These denim look ones I bought years ago thinking would be easy used on boys pages, they just never seemed to fit right.

Eye update

Day 21

Update on Jayden...
Took him to the doctors this morning and he has what they call Angioedeema(sp?).
It is an inflammation of the tissue surrounding his eye and eyelid. It starts with an allergy. The school have been great and are going to keep him away from the area where it seems he is being affected. We have tablets for him to take and the doc assures me he should be fine in a few days. Luckily there is no damage to the eye!

So of course with doctors visit and Jay home all day, plus the normal Thursday errands to run, no scrapping got done today.
I had to buy some socks for myself, I only owned 2 pairs and its been so cold here lately, I needed some more. I got these really bright funky ones!
And no im not wearing odd socks lol I got 4 pairs for $10, so put them on to photograph lol

Day 20

Day 3 and Jaydens eye is still reacting once he gets to school, the staff have been wonderful and we have narrowed it down to one area of the school, outside, so it may be a plant or flower. However his eye has been through alot this week with all the irritation and swelling so I am taking him to the doctors in the morning. Will update tomorrow night.

My gorgeous friend Deb is having a little bubby girl in 7 weeks and I made this blanket for her for the pram.




Today was the coldest June day in Brisbane in 80 years!! I dont know eactly how low it got to but it was freezing!!

On that note I think its time to snuggle up in bed where its warm :)

Remember When

Day 19

Jayden is allergic to school!
Well to something at the school, they rang me this morning thinking he had conjunctivitus, so I went up and got him and after consulting with the doctor, he just has hayfever. Considering he was fine before he got to school and much better after he got home, he must be allergic to something at school....

tricky part might be choosing ONE!
There were lots I coulf of chosen but had this photo of my best friend on my desk so went with this one. We have known each other since we were 14, she is the boys godmother, and even though we are miles apart now we still stay in touch and our friendship is still as strong as it was then.



Networking news....after a few quetions aimed at the right IT guys at works the networking is now working!!! Yay!!

Boys are messy!

Day 18

I had plans of sitting and creating more today, but first I wanted to get the house work all done and tidy and sort the boys wardrobes. 2 hours tops I though....uh huh...think again...
It too me all day!! Man i swear they just open the cupboard doors and throw. I had to take everything out and start from scratch, as well as work out what was too small etc...
*mental note to self to keep an eye of the wardrobes more often*

So of course no creating today.

I got happy mail from Ngaire!!
She sent out the last round of recipes from our swap and included felt! Thanks hon its awesome, I love felt and cant wait to cut into that green!!
We are still having network problems here and hubby informed me last night that he may have to reformat the network server. So if you dont see me for a couple of days that is why.

Art overload

Day 17

Today we didnt have to be up early and off somewhere, we could sleep in! Did this happen...
The boys didnt wake me, the alarms werent set..but I woke at my normal time...could I go back to sleep...NO! Go figure...
John got to work on my brakes as well as trying to sort out our network problems (some men can multi task *grin*).
I got the housework all done early and set to finishing of layouts and art journal pages. Had to drop Josh of at a birthday party, then go pick him up, but overall had a productive day. As promised here are all my creations from the last couple of days...

This weeks One Little Word was 'MY' I had planned on doing a layout about my job as a mum, but my printer is out of ink so couldn't print out the journaling, so instaed I went with My 3 boys.


Ali E put out a challenge in her newsletter to do a layout using her prompt '20 things', thought about this one for awhile and in the end chose 20 places I would like to visit.


Sketches Aussie style gave us a fantastic sketch by the talented Melissa Goodsell, this is my version of it.


Now on to some art journal pages..
This one for the KSK art journal The theme 'Wings'. Had a bit of fun with this, finally using some of the yummy material Kylie gave me, gold paint, glitter and fibre and words and images from magazines.


This one was a challenge set by my son, 'do one on your hands with orange mummy' so I did. The doodling was so much fun!


I know this post didnt make it before midnight but I havent been to bed so to me its still sunday and day 17!

Just wanted to mention that all of the girls from our daily blogging group are doing an awesome job. Keep it up girls, I love reading what you have to say :)

Its Friday!!

Day 15

So last night I get this email from my LSS
'ROYAL REDUCTION SALE'
Now I couldnt not go could I? Just wouldnt be right *smirk*
So I went and brought (more than I should) yummy goodies at reduced prices, cant argue with that!
Had to change hubbys shoes I got him for his birthday, because even though I got the same size as what he is wearing now...of course they didnt fit...go figure!

This is a layout i started 2 days ago, had been sitting half done on my desk all this time, it is for Scrap the Scraps, the challenge from Liz was to use felt somehow.


Tonight Josh went of to youth and Dan and Jay had a school disco to go to. 2 hours at home with just me and hubby (who was busy fixing computers)...
Did I scrap ? Well, I got a photo and some paper out...then decided that all my craft patterns and templates needed sorting out, so I sat and did that while watching Friday night games - Yeah Jamie!

Tomorrow is football x 3 it better not be as cold as last week.

Day 14

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY MAN!!
My hubby's birthday today, he got spoilt with lots of pressies and mudcake, love ya babe.

I winged enough over the weekend about my poor adoreable little niece and what a horror she was to babysit lol that I thought I would make up for it with some pictures showing just how gorgeous she is.

Look at those pigtails!! This mummy of 3 boys did that!! (yup proud I am lol)




Really hard to get her to stay still long enough to take a picture so am happy with these.

My tought teen who turns to putty for his little cousin!


He took her to feed apples to the horse (very old horse) telling her it was ok and showing her how to pat it, was so cute.
