I Painted!

Day 30

This week Patty's challenge was to tell the story with unrelated photos. Used odd leftover photos of my niece Jess. The story is about how every time Jess comes to visit, John takes at least 40 photos of her, reckons its because she doesnt protest, we reckon its because he thinks she is pretty special!


I painted! My first ever, its certainly no museum piece and although some may think it looks like a child did it, Im really happy with it!
I did the hand yesterday and today I did the flower. I may not paint one everyday, just when the mood strikes me. I dont want it to turn into a chore I have to get done everyday. The biggest pleasure was when Dan told me how good it was!!




Josh came home from camp this afternoon, smelly and tired but he had a fantastic time. He didnt shutup for at least an hour lol
Got a football game tomorrow, so best get some sleep.

Day 28


Packed Josh of on a 2 day school camp this morning, a Wild at heart program for year 9 boys. It is already weird not having him around.

Spent some time today just playing around with drawings after reading this on Donna Downeys blog...

why am i so inspired? i am going to paint a painting everyday, just to paint, just to creatively play, just for me.

I have always said I cant draw or paint that its not my thing. I sat and thought about that today and decided that I wasnt happy with the statement 'I cant', so im going to have a go. It may not end up DaVinci or even anything that people recognise lol but it may just turn out to be something that I like doing.

I mentioned Monday night about having a some good news about my hubby to share... whilst all the details still havent been finalised. I am super excited to share that hubby will be on Thursday week one of the trainers for the St Kilda football club (Aust Football League)!! He will be at the Gabba, either in their rooms or on the ground with the players!! Having grown up an AFL fan and love the sport this is just so HUGE for him. I have told everyone and am like a proud mummy, he on the other hand is just so darn cool calm and collected about it lol

So that night not only will my baby boy be playing Auskick at half time of the game, but my hubby will be part of one of the main teams.

Day 27

Week 12 of Emilys Deck of me challenge is "I believe". Used rubons and for the first time used a tattoo, found myself a new favourite product i think.


This week on Pattys Flex your mind challenge she asked us to think gardens and use flowers on something. Had to make a card for a friend so here it is..

Day 26

I persuaded Josh today to pose for some photos for me. He hates having his picture taken (a teenager thing i think). We had some fun, he did his own thing and I just clicked away. Pretty happy with what we got.





Have some exciting news to tell about my hubby, cant tell you tonight though, still have some things to find out first, but hopefully by wednesday night I can fill you all in. Sorry for the teaser :D

More sport

Day 25

What a day, 6 hours tending bar at the football club, as well as trying to make sure 3 boys were fed and keeping out of mischief. I never thought that a sports club bar would be this busy!

Want to wish my hubby a big goodluck and fingers crossed, he spent all weekend doing a sports trainers course, did the exam late this afternoon and will find out in 2 weeks how he went.

Before I head of for an early night for a change... Just wanted to say to the annoymous person who left the comment about my age and smoking on last nights thread - shame on you for not having the guts to admit who you are.

Day of soccer

Day 24

Today was the first round of soccer matches for the season. Dan played half a game as goalie and half as centre. Whilst they lost they all had a really good game. Dan scored the one and only goal for the team.
He then filled in for the under 13's as their goalie. Sweat pouring of him after the game I asked if he was buggered 'nope' he said...I would love his energy!

Amazingly a picture of me I actually like! Layout done for a challenge at Memories and More to scrap a page using 3 traditional stationery items. This was fun.


Of now to prepare for another full on day of sport..this time aussie rules.

Friday!

Day 23

Today wasnt quite the day I expected to have, but it turned out not so bad. I managed to finish of a couple of projects. Both of them are for challenges at KSK.
This first one of my baby playing with the bucket of cars nanna had given him.


This hanging was one that I had at home that i ressurected, it was badly in need of a makeover. Im pretty happy with how it turned out.


I have a full on 2 days of sport comming up, and with John of doing a sports trainers course, im doing the single mum thing...
Thank you sports clubs for having the games on different days!

Day 22


WARNING
Im really pissed at schools and teenage girls and what I have to say may offend. So please do not read on if you are easily offended..
















Some 14 year old girls are vinidictive, bitchy and liars. I t really annoys me that just because they are female they are believed over a boy.
The school has alot to answer for when they dont fully investigate a situation properly, just take the words of one person and HER friends over that of the boy involved.
When the principal can tell me personally over the phone after admitting he hasnt investigated properly that he thinks the boys story is highly unbelieveable that just makes me madder.
I am so upset and pissed of right now. The reputation and school records of my son are going to be marred because a girl lied and the school dont care.
I have been crying on and of all afternoon over this. I did the right thing and rang the school a second time, to no avail, there whole attitude was well its done now not really much we can do.
I know that some who were brave enough to read on may think oh yr his mum of course you believe him....
Im not a stupid mum, i know i dont have an angelic 14 yr old son. I also know when he is lying to me, I always have been able to. So I know in this instance that he is telling the truth.
I told the principal that I dont have problems with suspension for behaviours at school if they can prove the incident happened.
In this incident they CANT, and they dont seem to want to investigate further. So upset I dont know what to do about it.
I dont want my son to have this on his record for the rest of his school years and stay with him when he leaves.

Sorry for the vent, but I had to get it of my chest..

Day 20

Wow the month is almost over. This year is going way to quickly for my liking, before I know it will be 2008.
No creations to show tonight.
I spent the day in a kitchen....yep you heard right lol
Relax it wasnt mine and I wasnt cooking.
Josh had a round robin sports day today for school, his sport of choice was football. They held the games at our local club, so I Helped C and I out serving a small few polite and alot more impolite year 8 and 9 boys to food and drinks. I really dont know whats happened with some kids manners these days.
Was a good day though, Josh and his team did ok, canteen did great, got some good photos.

This week the prompt for Emilys deck of me cards was your initial.
Mine of course is "L" I decided not to journal on this one, just use my picture and the letter.
Used beads around the edge and dimensional magic on the letter.

Ok so technically its Monday, but to me its still Sunday night.

Weekend ramblings

Day 17

Today I cleaned, and washed and washed some more and cleaned!
Took Dan to the library, he has been asking to go for awhile now. He borrowed 3 books and i borrowed 4. I got 2 John Grisham books I haven't read and 2 Robert Barrett books. Have 3 weeks to read them, so some quiet time on the couch comming up.

Had visitors after dinner tonight to watch the NAB cup grand final..YAY Carlton!!!
My niece was one of those visitors, she is growing so quick and has learnt to play it up for the camera. Will photo share tomorrow!

This is the mini album I did for the 52 week challenges at KSK. It didnt scan too well, so sorry if its a tad blurry. I went really simple with it, wanted to focus on the photos mainly.
