family photos

I sat down today to try and sort and edit through some of the hundreds of photos we took of the family get together..omg we filled 2 memory cards!! Never done that before since we had the camera lol
Here are just a few of my favourites.

My niece Jessica, she is just the sweetest little girl.

Jessica and my nephew (her cousin) Lincoln, he was playing crocodiles with her..snap snap lol

My nephew Lincoln, he is just growing way too quick.

All the cousins ( the blood related ones anyways - nica and dj were in Darwin with their mum), Sally had to get in the photo too as Lincoln was grumpy and tired and wouldnt leave his mummy.

Us three girls, again the little ones were tired and grumpy so they had to join us. Almost feel like I needed a bubba on my lap lol

Love love love this photo of me and Dan.

Us, a photo that I love, even though not every face is facing the front, I love it!

We had such a great time and didnt really want to say goodbye, they left today to go back to Tassie and it was so sad. Really must make the visits between us more frequent.

back later with some layouts ive been creating.

full on action packed

Thursday night my sister, BIL and the kids came for dinner, we got to to see Lincoln for the first time in over a year.
A few photos from the night...

Have had such a full on weekend, starting early Saturday morning with work at the footy canten, for 4 games, then north for Jaydens game, home unpack, repack and head to the coast for the St Kilda game at Carrara where John was trainer for St Kilda. Was dreading being there 3 hours before the game started and keeping the boys occupied, but they have such a great family/kid orientated stadium it wasnt hard at all, the boys had a ball.
By the time the game finished and John made it out of the rooms and we got home it was almost midnight.
Early start this morning having to be at the ground at 8.30am for Dan's game. Josh's game followed and Vicki, Jim and Jess as well as Sally, Brendan, Chelsea and Lincoln all came to watch the game.
We then went from there to the park for a play and lots of photos.
Home around 3.30pm all exhausted.
Have lots more photos from the weekend to share but havent even uploaded yet, will do that sometime tomorrow.
About to collapse into bed now.

Cheers

shopping and creating

There are a few of you out there that read my blog from Tassie, so thought I would give a quick plug for my sister's new shop.
Wishes and Dreams, a fantastic place to buy that perfect gift for your little one, boy or girl, they are located in Hopkins Street Moonah.

A little look see at some of the fantastic things they stock.

The also have a fairy room where they will do birthday parties, and story time. Would make a great setting for a photo shoot too dont you think ?

So if your in the area, head on in and be sure to tell her that you found out about the shop from my blog.

Just a couple of layouts I've gotten done.

This one for OLW - strong

this one is for the new challenge blog - Gutter Girlz

and this one for the sketch challenge at Mystical.

have a great day :)

She's here!!

My baby sister that is!! God I miss this girl. It was so wonderful to spend time with her yesterday, its been way too long. Was just her and Chelsea yesterday as Lincoln was with his daddy having a 'boys' day.
We spent the afternoon at my other sisters (Vicki) place with her two girls as well.
Here are just a few of the hundred odd photos i took.

My gorgeous baby sister

Sal and Chelsea

Dan and Chelsea

Josh and Chelsea
I just love this photo the best i think.

The cousins, Chelsea, Dan, Jess, Josh, Danica.
the other 3 boys were missing as Lincoln was with his dad, Jayden in hospital and Damien in Darwin with his mother.

This one was taken to take back and show my mum and dad just how tall the boys have gotten.
The girls look so tiny standing next to them.

My two beautiful nieces, they played together like they see each other every day.

Had to snap this one of Dan and Jess, was such a cute moment.

We all had the best time and really didnt want to come home, cant wait to catch up with everyone again, and am so excited to get to see Lincoln again!

a bit of this and that...

I didnt realise that it had been almost a week since i updated, have been spending more time lately with the boys and John and not as much on this computer, and its been good for us all.

Had a few issues with football and the under 16's of late and am finding that very difficult to push through. Someone said to me the other day 'as much as it is hard it shows your involved and care' when i thought about this i realised how true it was, but just wish it was easier to deal with.

Speaking of football, game changes mean that both Josh and Dan play tonight at the same time, so John and I get to go of in different directions, in the wet mind you its been raining today so its gonna be fun (NOT) hehe.
With two games tonight and only one tomorrow + work that means the rest of the weekend can be spent on us, although both Josh and Dan are having sleepovers so wont be around.

Weekday scrapping (ssems to be the only time i get to scrap lately) got a few done this week.

This one for Aussie Scrapjacked, a lift of the talented Nic Anderson.

This one is for Scrapbooking Addiction for a challenge I set over there, if you havent been there go have a look and check it out, a fairly new site but one that is going to grow and be awesome!

These two are for Mystical challenges.

Game on challenge

This one is for Mystical 26 challenge.

Tomorrow after noon my baby sister and her family arrive from Tassie to spend a week, i am so excited and so looking forward to seeing her, it has been way too long.
They are not staying with us ( we just dont have the room for it) but plan on spending as much time as I can with them, so look out for lots of photos over the next week.

Have a great weekend :)

Weekend review

So another weekend down, we were all up with the birds to get ready and spend some time wishing John a happy birthday, before as per usual getting to the club nice and early to open up the canteen, Josh stayed and helped me today whilst John and Daniel took Jayden to his game (poor guys got outplayed badly). Josh was amazing, i was so proud of him, he worked really hard and was a great help to me!
Saturday night we took John out for dinner, I let the boys choose where we would take him (money permitting) they chose Sizzler (no surprise there), but John does love the place so it was all good!
Sunday we were up bright and early again to be at the club for Dan's game, before hopping on the bus (kindly driven for us by Cliff) to Collingwood Park for Josh's game.
They won just, was a nail biter.
Got a text from John to say that Dan won... so overall a pretty good outcome for the older two.

Just a few layouts from last week that I got done.

This one is for the 2nd part of June Alpha challenges at Scraptastic, head on over and check the challenges out and be in the running for some cool prizes!!
I used Fancy Pants papers and felts on this one.

This is my entry for White with 1 for June

Got a full on weekend with football, working tomorrow morning as per usual up to my elbows in food and footy players lol, Jays game which John will be doing the running around for, but my turn Sunday when I have to go to Collingwood Park whilst John gets the home game. All evens out in the end.

Have a great weekend whatever you might be doing!

layout overload

Been a busy girl this week, home, family, football and scrapping all somehow fit into my week. Sometimes it is more hectic than other weeks, but its all good, I would rather be busy than bored eh ?
Another 4 game day at football yesterday so a full on day in the canteen, gotta give a big thank you to Catie for all her help, she's a gem!

I must make mention of the latest challenges that have gone up at We Challenge you, also some wonderful creations by half of our DT, the other half of us will be showcasing our work on the 20th of this month, so be sure to head on over there and check it out. Take part in the challenges and be in the draw to win awesome prizes from Allcraftz!!

Mystical Scrapbooks are having a cybercrop this weekend with some fantastic challenges and great prizes up for grabs, head on over and have a go, lots of fun!!
I was asked to do the Guest dt challenge for it this month and with a winter theme my challenge was to take inspiration from a photo (can be seen in the mystical gallery) and use blue and white only.
This is my example...

Challenge 1 - winter themed photo, blue white and grey only and 3 diff pattern papers

Challenge 3 - Use the same photo twice but alter the 2nd one and cnt use a square or rectangle size layout. Went arty and funky with this one..

Just a few more for the normal months challenges at Mystical.
This one for the sketch challenge (sketch by Wendy Smith)

We dare you - use an imperfect photo.

Journal challenge - journal on your photo, this one was inspired by Elsie.

Colour challenge - brown, cream and green

Heading back to my scrap desk now to do some more cc layouts, boys are all of out with John so im alone and its quiet, the perfect time to scrap.

Cheers
