My baby boy turned 16 just before the end of the year, it doesnt seem that long ago that he was just a this munchkin crawling around the floor chasing his big brothers!
Being born on the 2nd last day of the year hasnt always been the easiest for Jay, its right in the middle of school holidays, his friends are either away or their families are getting ready to celebrate NYE the next day.
We have always tried to make the day special for him. A big day was planned, his brother was going to take him to the beach and spend the day having some fun like only brothers can, but Jay got called into work.
His shift did finish in time for him to enjoy a birthday dinner with all the family and of course a great big chocolate cream cake!
One of the big list items he asked for this year was a new desk, we got a huge desk for him and it was funny watching him (with a bit of help from dad) putting it together after dinner. He did a great job and it only took a couple of hours!
We are so proud of the young man he is becomming and of the choices he has made with his life up to now.
