and his jump for joy when he did actually get one for real!

We finished of with a bucket of balls on the driving range, this was lots of laughs.

Day 26

Deck of me card this week #38, wow cant believe we are this far already. The prompt is "I wonder"...
I wonder about so many things on a daily basis that it would fill a journal, the one I wonder about the most though is whether my boys will grow up to be everything that I hope for them.

We had a great day today at mini golf, I even got a hole in one!!! Not bad considering ive never played before lol.
Got lots of awesome photos but havent uploaded as yet, will share tomorrow.

Whirlwind

Day 25

Wow, what a whirlwind couple of days...
Sunday night John and I talked about changing the loungeroom around, putting the tv unit facing away from the window, stop the glare.
So Monday morning (well mid morning) we set to it, while we were at it we thought we may as well clean the walls too (ugh now who's bright idea was this)..and of course the dining room and hallway had to be done then. So we did it all and it looked great!! Lots more room in the lounge, so much more open.

My friend Cassie had a little baby boy at 9am Monday morning by C Section. I went in to see her Monday night, Jayce is doing really well and he is a Big baby, mum was still very sore and a little nauseas.
Congrats to Cassie and Wade on a gorgeous boy!
Here is one of the photos that I got of Jayce.

We made a deal with the boys that if they helped us do more cleaning today (when you start you have to keep going so it all looks clean lol) that Wednesday we would take them to mini golf.
So this morning im sitting having my first coffee and Josh is saying come on mum, wheres the cleaner, lets get started (ugh let me at least finish one coffee).

Josh did the toilet, Dan did the bathroom, whilst i did the shower screen, then we all got stuck in and did the kitchen. Sore arms and filthy later we were done and it looks so much better. The boys put the kitchen back together while I had a shower then went shopping!

I made it all the way to Salisbury without getting lost, why go there? Well thats where Cyberscraps is! I got to meat Cath, the owner, she is lovely as well as get some yummy papers.

Now most of you who read my blog know that I really dont like cooking, so to arrive home from a shopping spree to be told that I dont have to cook is just icing on the cake!!
Josh (with John's help) brought, prepared and cooked dinner for us all tonight!! it was a bbq with steak, sausages, salad and mushrooms..but wait theres more....for desert they got a huge tub of strawberries!! Josh even got me (out of the fridge - he didnt buy it) a cruiser!!
Love you matie!!
This is the table set up outside.

Just to finish I have been creative as well, these are a couple I did a few days ago but just havent got around to posting yet.

Art journal for KSK, we were challenged to use dyes from plant or food products as well as explore our individuality.
After using napkins and decoupage paste i coloured the background with jelly crystals mixed with glue and vegemite! Lots of fun and smelt alot different lol.

This one is my page for One Little Word, the word this time around is Perfect.

Such a long post, I must blog more often I think, off to min golf tomorrow, so hopefully back tomorrow night with lots of photos.

Cheers

What a weekend!

Day 23

Well Friday night was, fun and exhausting. Other than seeing the boys get their participation trophies/medallions and team photos I didnt see much of anything else. I spent most of the kitchen/bar organising food and serving drinks. By the time we got home at 11.30pm we were all ready for bed.

Here are a few photos from the night...

Saturday morning John had to work. The boys helped me as I started to spring clean (ok well a tidy up not full on clean lol).

Today the boys had Laser Skirmish, and apart from the team they versed cheating (so say the boys) they had heaps of fun. Now what boy wouldnt love running around the forest with a gun shooting people lol. Seriously though, it was all very harmless and very well organised.
A few of the photos we got...

Now before I start getting questioned about why there are no photos of Jayden. Being an epileptic, he wasnt able to take part. He didnt even care that he didnt get to take part.

Hope you all had as great a weekend as we did.

Cheers

Friday!!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

To start with I want to say thank to you all for agreeing with me about the customer service, I know now that im not expecting too much.

Been a up and down sort of week with some days full on and others nothing at all. I have managed to scrap in between as well.

This is for the Everyday Garbage challenge.
Their first challenge was to use something from the kitchen. When you walk around opening drawers its amazing what you find in there that you can use for scrapping.
The background paper i made myself using paints and corrugated card. I used napkin which I stamped and dyed for extra pp, i cut stars from a plastic cup and the title from paper plates.

The next three are for challenges at KSK.

Celebrate a special person.

Photo to be 2/3rds of page.

Use someone else's handwriting

Must dash, got football presentation tonight.

Have a great weekend

Draw something

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Day 19

Deck of Me
this week's prompt is: draw something!
your challenge this week is to draw SOMETHING...add something to your card that you drew with your own hand!

My hubby comes from a family that all got the art gene, they draw and paint and whilst they are not michelangelo they are pretty darn good.
He tried to teach me a little when we first met, but back then I just couldn't get it...
This elephant is one of the first things he taught me how to draw, isn't it cute!

Stores are a place we go to buy things, we spend our hard earned money and expect good value for that money and good respectful customer service, right ? Yep thought as much.
I have a little story...
I usually get my digital prints done at Big W, I take advantage of their online service and they have been wonderful, the lady at my local store is fantastic!
So they have been doing some updating of services and had been out of service for awhile...so I went to the kmart online service while I waited...
Whilst the prints and the quality were the same, I cant say the same for the customer service. The ladies at kmart basically treated me as if it was just too much effort - its not part of kmart anyway - was one comment i received from a staff member.
Well i bit my tongue and kept on putting orders through, after putting one order in (they take 5 days) I went into the store 9 days later to pick it up, after a 30 second check the girl said nope there not here and started to walk away!! When I asked her to check again she said there not here I already looked, well no more tongue biting, she got a mouthful, what did she do - she laughed at me and said ring kodak its not our problem!!
Ok so at this point I was heating up pretty quickly, so I went for a walk, calmed down then went to the service desk and asked for the photography manager - i made my complaints and he was really nice, said he would speak to the girl, even said he would ring kodak for me...
So i get a call from kodak, a problem with their end she will check into it and get back to me... I wait and wait and wait...
2 weeks later... I decide to ring, oh didnt some one call you back - uh no!
Another I will look into it and call you back, I sighed and hung up...
3 hours later I get a call from kodak, we are not sure why kmart dont already have the photos they should, but...
We are going to redo them and send them direct to your house complimentary!!!!
145 photos!!
I was stoked to say the least.
But will still not go through kmart online again.

I did another online order recently and picked the express postage option, 10 days later i send of an email to inquire as to when my product was posted...oh i posted it normal mail, sorry...
ugh no this is a store that i buy from quite a bit, it was disappointing.
The store are giving me a voucher for my postage.

Is a little respect and good customer service too much to ask ? Come on stores look after your customers.

Cheers

Weekend in pictures

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Day 17

We had the best weekend packed full of fun and family and friends.
Starting Friday night with friends popping over whilst the kids were at the school disco, its not often we get to see Jason and Debbie outside of football, so was nice to sit and chat for awhile.

Saturday morning Josh and John headed of to work for a few hours. In the afternoon we packed up and headed to the park for Daniel's party. Lots of kids, noise food and fun to be had. The iron man race for the flags was a big hit as was tackle footy.

Dan pretending to blow out the candles on his cake (it was too windy for them to stay lit).

Tackle footy, park style.

A few photos taken of the family at the park.

Josh - a rare one

Dan - love his profile

Jay - that thing is hard to stay on

Love this one of Jay and Jess playing together

A couple of my gorgeous niece

Couldnt resist this one of Jess and her daddy taking a walk.

We packed up and waited till the last parent came to collect their child, before heading home to unpack.
Josh had a mate stay over and we also babysat Deb and Jasons 4, so we had 8 kids aged from 4wks old to 14 to feed and watch for 3 hours..
It went really well, the baby was so good, she slept for most of the time and the other s all get on really well.

Sunday and a morning of general cleaning up around the house with the whole family pitching in to help out. Then I headed of to Cassies's baby shower. Some great girly time lots of food (chocolate covered strawberries!!!) the games were great, I won 2!
This is Cassie opening up her gifts, (not such a good pic, lighting wasnt great and lots of movement) she got so many gorgeous things.
Cant wait o see little Jayce very soon Cassie, im betting you cant either.

The boys cooked dinner for me so I got to sit and be waited on!

Today was spent running around finishing of the shopping needed for the footy presentation night. Do you know how hard it is to find a thank you card that doesnt have flowers on it!!
Tonight we have the last committee meeting with a bit of a party afterwards. Kind of a thank you to those that helped out over the season.

Have a great night

Whats your style

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Day 14

Sometimes I wonder what my style is or if I even have one. My layouts seem to change so much depending on the photos and my moods.
These latest three are all so different from each other.
What is your style ? What do you think mine is ?

The first two layouts are for the monthly challenge at KSK, this month it was a two part challenge. Spring and Song lyrics.
The pictures in the spring one are taken by Daniel of my FIL front yard and all his pots out the back. He loves his gardening.

I took my inspiration from the photo and the song "Letting Go" by Joe Cocker.
The journaling reads...
Letting go of the little Boy that I remember and still wish you were and letting you become the young man can be so hard for me at times!

This layout is for the monthly challenge at Scraptastic (if you havent checked this place out go do it!)
Celebrate fathers was the challenge. My dh and youngest ds have this ritual where Jay protests that he isnt ticklish then dh tickles him till he is in hysterics!

Im of now to take the younger two boys to a school disco. Have Dan's birthday party tomorrow and a baby shower for Cassie on Sunday.
Hope you have a great weekend!

Cheers
