Summers end...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Day 28

I think someone has forgotten to tell Mr Weather man that today was the last day of summer, the heat doesnt even look like fading...

So last night I had my Wednesday all planned out almost to the minute... This morning however those plans went out the window. I had planned on being at school at 8.30 for my craft group. I had to decide, craft and be the great helper mum ( I do this every wed morning) or be a good home mummy and do my housework before heading of for an afternoon at the football club. Housework won *shock* yep believe it or not...
By 11am I was at the footy club for Josh's round robin school sports day, not that I got to see much football, being that it was at our club ground, canteen duties became my task for the next 3 hours.
Long hot day for Josh and the other boys in the hot sun, home and showers before the other boys got home from school. Then a quick unpack, get homework all done, think about something for dinner (thinking was as far as i got) before I was back in the car dropping Dan of at soccer training, home again for a short time then out again to take Josh to football training. A quick check in with committee for dates of next club day and Bushies tryouts then home again.
I did manage to get dinner started, before having to turn it of to go pick Dan up from soccer training. Headed home and John rang to say he was home and had put dinner back on, had a quick coffee with him whilst finishing of dinner, then he headed of to pick Josh up.
Then it was feeding, showers a rubdown for Josh as he was so tight and sore from so much footy today before all the boys were finally in bed..
Now i'm exhausted, not physically but mentally. Thank god that a day like today only happens once every 3 months when John has a staff meeting.
So no creativity to show today, couldnt quite fit that into my day lol
Did plan on trying to come up with a logo and name for our March bloggers, that didnt happen either.
Man ive rambled on tonight lol think its time for bed

Nothing much

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Day 27

Nothing much to blog about today, I did alot of little things today, dont seem like much when I think about it but I was busy all day..go figure...
Ive decided to make a mini album about my boys with stats abut them in 2006. I started on the recipe cards for a swap im in.
I sat down and sorted out all my blogs in bloglines and put them into folders..
Lots of other things too numerous and mundane to interest anyone.

Tomorrow i'm out and about, craft group at the school in the morning, then Josh's school football, before a busy afternoon of ferrying boys to various sporting venues for trainings.

Bedtime now

Day 26

Wow 26th already, This year is going way too quickly.
So proud of my boys this week. Dan was one of 6 boys from his school selected to take part in the district school soccer tryouts! Josh spent all weekend at a referees course and passed! They are growing up so quickly its scary.
A couple of shots from the weekend, boys having fun playing footy in the back yard.

This weeks prompt for Emilys Deck of Me challenge, was who (or what) do you miss?

This one was easy for me, I really miss my mum and dad, my sister and niece and nephew(ive never met). I miss all my friends heaps.
Whilst I love living in Brisbane, dont miss the cold at all, its family and friends I miss from Home!

I am looking for a source for 8.5 x 11 albums here in Australia, postbound ones, I dont care if they are portrait or landscape. If anyone knows of anywhere that I can get them please leave me a comment or email me with links or details.

Cheers

Favourite 10

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Day 25

Ooops I forgot to post yesterday, I meant to but life just kept gettin in the way lol

A couple of photos from Jay's first Auskick night. They start with teaching them the basic ball skills, then move on to more football type skills. He loved it and cant wait for next week.

Blog hopping yesterday and found this challenge on Ali Stafford's blog...

I want you all to post in your blogs 10 of your layouts. It doesn't matter if you've already uploaded them to your blog before - just think of it as giving us all a "refresher".
Now - these 10 layouts - they have to be a *certain* 10. I want to see the 10 layouts which are either:
(a) your favourite 10 layouts; or
(b) the 10 layouts that you're most proud of; or
(c) 10 layouts that have some really special significance*** ; or
(d) a combination of any of the above!

So here are my 10...

Its fun to look back at work you have done over the last year and see not only the differences in your work but the changes to yourself and your family. My boys have grown so much over the last year its almost scary..

Hope everyone is having a great weekend, till tomorrow :)

Cheers

Day 23

Technically its day 24 but only just, got caught watching a movie and forgot the time, im pretending its still friday sssshhhh lol

Had some photos of me that used the last of the ink in my printer cartridge and turned out all lined and crappy, was going to throw them out, then I thought of this quote that I love and decided to do this page. Totally different from my normal stuff but I like it..

This card is a fun project Ive done for a creative exercise that Patty has set up on her blog. We had to make 'something' using the Dr Seuss quote. I now have this card sitting on the top of my monitor. Thanks Patty this was fun, cant wait to see what the next one will be.
Not sure the quote shows up properly in the scan, this is what it is...

Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive youer than you.

Busy little thing I was this afternoon, Josh had to be at Coaches house by 5.15 ready to go northside for a practice match. John was going straight from work to meet him there. In the car again and back to the local footy ground for Jay's first Auskick night. Had a few problems gettin him to wear his head guard, but the guys from Auskick sorted that out for me. Got some photos (still need to work John's camera settings out) will post them tomorrow.

Hopefully will have a reasonably quiet weekend so that I can sit and catch up on scrapping some of my nephews photos.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Cheers

Colour my world

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Day 21

Craft group at school this morning, they loved the hug boxes! We made some lists of what we are going to make and supplies we will need. Love that I can use my creativeness to help out at school.

Been creating again...
An art journal page for a challenge at KSK the prompt was Colour. Really enjoying the freedom of the art journals.

Mr Attitude probably describes him better at the moment - this one for Use your stash challenge also at KSK.

Just to even things up a couple of layouts of my other two boys, first one is Dan, he is so photogenic, rarely do we get a bad photo of him.

This one is a few years old, Jay taken with my dad when they last came to visit.

I think lately my 'style' is changing - trying alot of different products and techniques, also dont seem to worry as much about the final outcome as long as I like what I see. I think doing hte art journals has give me the confidence and freedom so to speak to try more things in my layouts.

Ok that was deep...its over now lol

Im all done for tonight too, just squeezing this post in before midnight.

Cheers

Day 20

OK no pictures, no creations, no special things happening, wow what did I do all day...
I cleaned and reorganised and made such a mess lol
Tonight I am just going to show you some things that I think are cute, inspirational, talented and funky!

Firstly for all those jewellery fans this site is just amazing, some gorgeous pieces that will knock you socks of!

Art journal enthusiasts will love this site, full of inspiration!

Love doing multi photo pages ? Then this place is for you, some gorgeous layouts with lots of inspiration!!

A little fun find, I remember watching this show as a kid and loving it!

To finish a quote I saw on a site/blog this week (sorry dont remember where to give credit) but think it says it all...

"I can't do anything about yesterday and I don't know what tomorrow will bring, so that means today is best day of my life."

Creations

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Day 19

As promised last night the finished product!! So proud of Josh, he did an excellent job making this desk!

Felt flowers I made for some RAK's. Fun and easy to do.

Ok so as i said last night, the pouch i made for my deck of me cards turned out too small. So I found a plastic folder that used to hold pokemon cards (thanks boys) it had exactly 52 pockets!
So i made this felt cover for it. So happy with how it turned out!

I am having so much fun creating the cards for the Deck of Me challenge that Emily is running. Getting lots of inspiration from looking at all the other cards being made by lots of talented ladies!
This weeks prompt was Shoes!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE shoes!! I have way too many, some I havent even worn. I still keep buying though, its an addiction.. BUT... a good friend once told me that shoes aren't a luxury they are a neccesity. Sounds good to me!

Still winding cottons and fibres, brought more bobbin holder thingys today, almost done, got way more than I thought I had.
Better finish of now so that this post makes it before midnight.

Winners!!!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Day 17

The Final scores for todays Netball Grand Final....

YEAH BABY!!!
Our winners trophy!!!

We have only ever beaten the team of babies(all girls aged 17-19) twice. Once in the semi final and then today! Was so sweet to beat them..

As I mentioned last night, I finished all the hug boxes. all 100 of them.
They are empty boxes I made myself (thanks to Donna for showing me how last year). They are wrapped with ribbon and have this poem attached...
This is a very special gift, that you can never see.
The reason it's so special is it's just for you from me.
Whenever you are lonely, or are ever feeling blue,
you only have to hold this gift and know i'm huggin you.
You never can unwrap it, please leave the ribbon tied,
just hold the box close to your heart, it's filled with hugs inside.

Cheers
