What a Weekend!

A weekend I will never forget.
We all met up at the airport, recognising each other straight away. It was just so natural and felt like we had been best of friends for years.
We spent 3 wonderful days together, talking, laughing and having the best time.
Paperific was great, did some cute make and takes, and didnt break the bank buying supplies.

It was all to soon time to leave, it was hard having to say goodbye.
Miss you girls, love you all.

Family Time

So we had this family bbq all organised for yesterday afternoon, nearby park with facilities, plenty of things for all the kids to play on.. Sounds great right ? The minute we arrived and started to unpack it started raining... do we pack up and go home and try and feed 4 adults and 6 kids in my tiny kitchen or stay and make the most of it? You guessed it..we stayed, there were undercover areas so the adults and my baby niece stayed all nice and dry. The kids couldnt of cared less, they played and played and ate and played some more. The good thing about rain at this time of the year is that it isnt cold.

Hiccup

After the issues of the last day i will now always print out details of flights WHEN i get them...
Darlin Tam booked all my flights to Melbourne and emailed them to me, I stupidly waited a week then printed them out, only to be told by my DH (we can see here who checks things properly) that the flight was booked for friday night..ooops...
Quickly told Tam, the poor darlin got all upset and went into panic mode, I was supposed to be leaving Friday morning... Tried to calm Tam down, it just wasnt going to happen..
All is good though, after Tam talking to the guys at flight centre I am now on a new early morning flight. I have to be up before the sun now though lol Can you tell how much I love my girls :)
This time next week, the 5 of us will have spent a, hmm now whats the right word to use here, crazy ? afternoon together and be starting to get ready to party it up.. right ?
Bring on next week is all i have left to say.

Looking forward

In 10 days 14 hours 45 mins (yes counting down) I will be boarding a plane for Melbourne. My first trip there in many years. This trip however is special...
Not only will I be attending my first ever craft fair - Paperific - BUT..I will be meeting 4 of the most wonderful special girls. Have been chatting to these girls for quite awhile now and have formed a special relationship with each of them. To say that I am over the moon at meeting them is an understatement.
A 3 day girly weekend is just what the doctor ordered. Some ME time away from all the stresses and hassles of everyday life for a little while.
So aside from being excited and wondering what clothes to pack, everything is pretty much stable. My mum is hanging in there and starting physio again, she gave up there for awhile but with some encouragement and chats with her daughters she has pulled out of it and is determined again.
DH's dad is progressing slowly and its frustrating the hell out of him. His mum is putting on a brave front for all to see, but DH can see thru it. She is determined to see christmas and is fighting like mad, so fingers crossed and lots of prayers.
Winter sport is over now and we have our weekends free again. My dad is giving us all his camping equipment!! So time to scout out some nice camping spots I think.

About time

So i thought it was time that i moved into the future and caught up with the rest of the world. Been thinking for ages about creating a blog, so now i have.
Lets see how often i can now keep it updated..
