Miniature rocking horse

Most of us would remember at some point in our childhood having a rocking toy in the family, a horse you sat on or in or something similar that you had hours of fun in!
Our boys were no different to us, they had a rocking horse, theirs was made by their Dad! A specially handcrafted toy that they loved.
John made quite a few of these not only for our boys but for other families as gifts or to sell. As we head into life as grandparents he is looking at making them again.

Just to get back into the swing of things he made a prototype, standing 25cm tall a cute little miniature of the real thing. He originally intended to have this done to show prospective buyers what they would like but after seeing it my mind started to think that the mini horse would be such a cute little addition to a nursery or child's room. Sitting on a shelf or cupboard painted up in colours to suit the gender and room would be perfect.

 This one still needs another coat of paint and a mane and tail, maybe even a saddle ?
