When Chrissi first told us she was expecting we were both so thrilled for her, a new baby is always a happy occaision! Straight away I knew that I wanted to crochet her lots of sweet baby things, I had a few weeks to wait until they found at the sex of the baby, I then got busy creating with pretty girly colours - a big change from the boy stuff I had been doing already this year.
In the past I had done blankets and beanies and even knitted booties, I wanted to step outside my comfort zone a little and crochet some booties this time as well as some pretty cardigans and jackets. After much searching online for patterns and starting and unpicking and starting again I found my groove.
I got so wrapped up in crocheting tiny baby things that I had to stop myself before I had a whole store lol hats and booties are so easy to crochet up and I was surprised how quickly the jackets came together.
I finished the baby bundle of with a couple of blankets, couldnt help myself :) and then wrapped it all and ready to send to Victoria. I had to wait a couple of months (BIL and SIL didnt want to know the sex till she was born so didnt want to send girly gifts before hand) and happily Chrissi and Ben loved them all.
I have another friend having a baby girl due in February so will be getting busy crocheting up pretties for little Faith Alexi over the next few months!
Thanks for stopping by
