Playing in my art journal

Been playing around in my art journal books some more, eperimenting with background techniques. Some have turned out ok and some well have ended up in the recycling bin lol.

This one I used a stencil and oil pastels, putting the stencil under the paper and rubbing over the whole page with crayon then using water colour paint over the top, Cut out an image from a magazine then added other bits and pieces.

For You by John Denver is the song we had for our bridal waltz, I used old music sheets and coloured them up then wrote out some of the lyrics from the song.

Another experiment, again with crayon, this time using white scribbling over the whole page then painting over with watercolours, added a couple of stencils then a quote, quite like the outcome of this one.

With this one I just played around with watercolour paints letting them drip down the page and splattered some around....not as happy with the background on this one still want to experiment more.

Whilst I was cutting out images from magazines for my art journallingI found a picture that inspired me to paint this face.

Back tomorrow with a little DIY washi tape tutorial.

Cheers Lis :)
