Easter Recap

Easter was awesome, our first camping trip as a family. Both John and I have camped all our lives, both with family and guides and scouts, but had never taken the boys away until now.
We joined Christine and her kids and left early Friday morning for Canungra showgrounds only about half an hour away and set up camp in a bush setting right near a creek, was beautiful and serene and not all that many other campers.
After a few hassles with getting tent pegs into rocky ground we got the tents up and set up the campsite how we wanted it.
The kids spent the next three days in the creek, playing in the rapids and on the rope tied to a tree, playing cricket, touch, spotlight, cards and generally having a blast. The three of us adults whilst not braving the cold cold mountain water did join in some of the other activites, but generally just relaxed and soaked up the goodness of having nothing to do.
Christine and myself did brave the water on the last day...for all of about 10 seconds, it was absolutely friggin freezing lol
We really didnt want to have to pack up and come home on the Sunday afternoon, but Christine had to work on the Monday.
A couple of mosiacs of our time away.

Being away is always fantastic, comming home and having to pack away and WASH...is NOT....
7 loads of washing, and 2 days of rain really did not help lol

John had all of last week of on holidays with the boys, it was great, just got to hang out, and get some things done that we dont seem to have time to do on weekends.

First round of non-grading games for footy this weekend saw wins for both the 12's and 16's, with both Josh and Dan scoring 2 goals each for the 16's and Dan winning a coaches award. proud of my boys!

Started scrapping again the end of last week and will have some updates and sneek peeks soon.

Cheers Lis :)

  4. Hi Lisa, Great blog BTW! Your camping trip looked heaps of fun. My DH is trying to convince me to go camping ... but I'm a bit of a 5-star girl! Just wondering how you make the photo collage on your blog. I've now seen it on 2 people's blogs & I reckon it's so cool. Anyway, love your work ... as always. Happy scrappin'! Dan
