Just in time

Managed to get some creating done just in time for end of month challenges. Its strange for me to be leaving things to the last minute, normally im alot more organised.

scrapping and life

I used to be pretty regular at updating my blog, but lately it just seems to be the last thing on my list of things to do.
Its been and up and down couple of weeks with life and scrapping some days I feel totally motivated and get heaps done then I get those days where all I want to do is just veg out and do nothing, mix that with days where I am flat out doing things for other people and yeah well like I said up and down....

Yesterday Josh finally got to run through the banner for his 50th game of AFL, the actual game this happened was in the finals last season which was played at Alex Hills. We always wait for a home game to do the banners and its taken this long to get one.
Thanks for these awesome photos goes to Chris Elves! Really appreciate you comming back just to take them for us Chris :)

and yes it is supposed to say Congrats, but the C fell of in the wind lol

My efforts at scrapping since I last posted here...

Easter Recap

Easter was awesome, our first camping trip as a family. Both John and I have camped all our lives, both with family and guides and scouts, but had never taken the boys away until now.
We joined Christine and her kids and left early Friday morning for Canungra showgrounds only about half an hour away and set up camp in a bush setting right near a creek, was beautiful and serene and not all that many other campers.
After a few hassles with getting tent pegs into rocky ground we got the tents up and set up the campsite how we wanted it.
The kids spent the next three days in the creek, playing in the rapids and on the rope tied to a tree, playing cricket, touch, spotlight, cards and generally having a blast. The three of us adults whilst not braving the cold cold mountain water did join in some of the other activites, but generally just relaxed and soaked up the goodness of having nothing to do.
Christine and myself did brave the water on the last day...for all of about 10 seconds, it was absolutely friggin freezing lol
We really didnt want to have to pack up and come home on the Sunday afternoon, but Christine had to work on the Monday.
A couple of mosiacs of our time away.

Being away is always fantastic, comming home and having to pack away and WASH...is NOT....
7 loads of washing, and 2 days of rain really did not help lol

John had all of last week of on holidays with the boys, it was great, just got to hang out, and get some things done that we dont seem to have time to do on weekends.

First round of non-grading games for footy this weekend saw wins for both the 12's and 16's, with both Josh and Dan scoring 2 goals each for the 16's and Dan winning a coaches award. proud of my boys!

Started scrapping again the end of last week and will have some updates and sneek peeks soon.

Cheers Lis :)

The boys

Thought it was probably about time I did a post about what the boys have been up to (mainly for my own records).

Jay is loving being in year 7 and a senior at primary school this year, helping out around the school wherever he can, also helping out in the canteen and he made the school chess team.
Playing youth footy this year where its all about the points and alot rougher than the juniors, he is loving it!
He went in the school cross country last Wednesday and came in 13th, he really wanted top ten, but he did so well.

Dan is plodding along as normal, nothing seems to faze him, sometimes I think he walks with his head in the clouds lol.
Year 9 at school and so far seems to be coping with the workload.
With footy this year we decided to push him up a level and let him play under 16's with Josh. The 14's had too many players and the 16's needed some, but it also meant that for us as parents we only have 2 teams to get to now and not 3. He is coping and the coaches say he is doing great. He got the coaches award for his first game so the bootmarks in the stomach were worth it hehe.
This year he is going to do club umpiring, he went of last night and did his first of 3 courses, the coordinator said he did good.

My big boy, he turned 16 yesterday, omg where did all that time go, he was just a baby not that long ago wasnt he ???
He is in year 11 and loving his drafting and graphics work, and just drifting along with everything else, he doesnt say alot lol
He is still working and whilst he may not enjoy it all the time he enjoys the paycheck hehe
Playing footy and doing alright so far ( only 2 games in) anxiously awaiting his 50 game banner ( we only do them at home games) that he earnt in finals last year.
He wants us to take him to get his learners next week....thats a scary thought lol him behind the wheel of a car....

That it for now
Cheers Lis :)
