A blur of a week

This week sort of floated on by, ive felt like ive been living in a bubble. Having to keep on going despite being sick to keep up with the kids and all that they have had going on hasnt been the easiest of tasks. Then there were football committments that I really couldnt get out of.
We started footy of on Friday night with a night game at Alex Hills, surprisingly it wasnt all that cold. Worked Saturday morning, just the two games so fairly easy, John did the run to Redlands for Jay's game whilst I was working. Late Saturday afternoon we dropped ALL the boys of at Ross and Cherie's or the night (first time we have had all 3 looked after in years) so we could attend the Brisbane Lions 150 years of football function on behalf of the Cobra's footy club, then we got to see the game after. We didnt make the whole game, leaving at half time and comming home, was in bed pretty much within a hour of getting home.
Sunday I got up to get ready for Dan's game, but was so sick I woke John up so he could go and then went back to bed. Sleeping till after 10. I was much better in the afternoon, but had a lazy one just hanging out with John and the boys in the lounge.

Did get some scrapping done last week...

This is my DT layout for Scraptastic Southwest this month, you can see it on the home page. Ive used the Princess Rasberry papers and Kaiser rubons.

Layout for the Scrapjack challenge at Mystical.

Tam's card challenge at Mystical.

Game on challenge also at Mystical.

Another full on week ahead for us (bring on the end of footy season) with hopefully me feeling better and some scrapping done.

Have a great week

Back to school!

So the boy's are all back at school and life is starting to get back into my normal routine. I managed to ward of a full blown attack of the flu, but got a throat infection instead, I dont know which is worse, eating is such a chore at the moment, but at least i can still drink.

Here are a few layouts ive done over the last couple of days...

This one for Aussie Scrapjacked, a lift of Zina Wright.

These two are for challenges at Mystical.

Love the photo in this last one....one of my boys still lets his mummy give him cuddles!!

Hope your week is a good one, cheers.

winter sickness

Has hit us all this week, Josh was the first with a pretty mild dose of the flu, then Daniel who got a chest infection and a cough that sounded like I have a pack of dogs living in my house, then Jayden got a bout of asthma and a lung infection, and last night (just before i head of to work in a canteen all day) I started feeling the affects as well, so far ive held it off but I think its gonna get to me. Dan and Jay are both on enough drugs to make my cupboard look like a pharmacy, so hopefully they will be well ont he way to recovery before heading back to school on Tuesday.
Jay used his ventolin puffer for the first time today without the spacer! Not so huge really but for us and him its a big step.

In other news.... some scrapping done this week...

White with 1 entry - white with black and a handmade embellishment

Cybercrop

Mystical Scrapbooks have been having a cybercrop over the weekend (still time to enter if you scrap fast, deadline is midnight tonight). Lots of awesome challenges, here is what i managed to get done.

card challenge - postcard size

sketch challenge ( i missed the tags that were part of the criteria, but love it how it is)

Challenge 1 - Pick a country you want to visit and use the colours of that flag + an element from the flag. My country was Netherlands.

Challenge 2 - the list (you always make one for packing)
1 cs, 2 photos, 3 pp, 4 eyelets, 5 embellishments.

Mini challenge - make something new out of your stash. Made this from a flourish, insides of chipboard flowers and a grungeboard crown.

Hope your weekend was awesome and those on holidays havent had too hard a time of it. My boys have been pretty good for week 1, one more to go, fingers crossed they keep up the good stuff!

hiding away

Ok so school holidays hits, not just for the boys but for John too, add to that mates sleeping over, and the only sensible thing to do for me is to hide away in my scrap room and let the boys be boys lol
Which is what I did, and the mojo was flowing so i have some things to share.....

Firstly the layout for Gutter Girlz
THE PROMPT: I'm a JUNKIE
THE SONG
: Shoes by Liam Sullivan
THE PRODUCT: Packaging, wrappers, or logo of your addiction...
I used bubble wrap to create a background and a bread tag to cover the packaging, my addiction is handbags, and i very loosley covered the song with the 'pick me, choose me, love me' wording.

I was blog surfing last night and came across Inkurable Stampers, they had a challenge to do a card using flourish stamps, and as i want to get more into using my stamps, i thought id have a go, my first attempt and im not overly happy with it, but hey cards arent my specialty nor stamps.

Whilst we are talking about cards....
This card is for Tam's (who just made DT at Mystical - well done honey) card challenge at Mystical.

This one for the game on challenge at Mystical, took some inspiration from Lusi for this one.

ok thats me for now..
