Let the footy games begin...

Footy season started this year and its been a little different for us than it has in previous years. With Dan now playing Under 18's that means the boys are both under the Senior banner with the club and not Juniors anymore. Training nights are different and for me that means that I now don't have to drive to the club and sit for 2.5 hours with only a few dads for company.
John has taken on the trainer role for the under 18's and is also helping out with reserves and seniors, so he attends trainings now (even if he cant go Josh drives Dan).

We started the season of with some practice games and Dan got to make his senior debut playing a couple of times for the reserves and a game for the senior team.

First game of the season was an away game at Sherwood on a pretty miserable day. The boys had a pretty bad loss too, lets hope the rest of the season gets a little better.

Josh is not quite ready to be back playing yet, almost just a month or two before his knee will be ok. Meanwhile he has taken on the role of runner for the under 18's.

John has been kept pretty busy looking after the boys, plenty of strapping and massaging going on.

Even Jay has been helping out, he spent a few days helping out in the canteen back at the club for the Junior Grading games and running water for the under 18's.
He will start umpiring under 8's and under 9's for the club soon.

We had a bye last week and the weekend just gone all games were cancelled due to rain making the grounds unplayable (in council's opinion), so everyone looking forward to this weeks first game at home.

Will be back in the next few days with some scrappy shares.

Cheers Lis :)
